...LFW

More london fashion week info.... So this is the first time I have ever lived in london during fashion week, and honestly I have not seen much of the hype and media around the experiance yet, today when I got on the tube I sore a london fashion week newspaper suplement, and goodybag leaflets scatterd everywhere... this did give me a few pangs of jealousy!!!

We did have Victoria Beckham in Harvey Nichols on Friday evening... and I admit it openly, i do adore her, I think she is very smart, she has moulded her career to where she is now, and he eye for fashion is amazing... even Anna Wintour is giving her style nodds, She is now the designer of the year, and she is set to represent the United Kingdom for Fashion and be an embassadr for it... and I'm proud to have her representing her... it does annoy me when people here her name and just assume she is rubbish... its the general public who do this.. and honeslty.. what the hell do they know... they are still shopping in primark wearing fleeces!!!! so untill you know about the subject I say shuutt up (essex style!) ha!

so here are some of my picks from her new collection...

Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear
this is such a classic style, but the bold lines give it an extra summit summit...

Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear

I can see this dress on alot of famous faces in the press.... the black cut out lines create a smaller waist, without the need for the diet... and I know were all a fan of that ey ladies?

Vaaa Vaaaa vooooommmmm look at the curves that this dress helps create... it shows you dont need to get ur tits and ass out in order to look sexy!!!!

Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear
beautiful structure in a loose fitting dress, awesome detail in the colar and shoulder, its even long enough for my managers not to have a hissy fit if i wore it to work... now if only i had the thousands in my bank... hmmmmm payrise anyone?

Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear

wahhhh I am actually in love with this collection... what it does to the hourglass figure is magice, it is beautiful cut, it is preactical clothing, and it is wearable... vicky b might be a skinnie minnie,... but she sure knows how to dress a curve or two!

Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear

awesome relaxed outfit... you could wear all day and be sooo comfty in... love the Harper handbag aswell.... well when your daughter is as cute as little H why the hell not??

Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear

Victoria Beckham Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear
and finally miss B herself!!! I think I am turning into a lesbian starting at the hips in these women... she makes your eye go to the curves in her creations... she knows what women want to wear, and how they want to feel. And are even giving us skint fashion slaves a chance to wear her stuff with Victoria by Victoria Beckham!!

What are your opinions of Victoria's collection this year??

Call the midwife!!!

Soo... there is a new BBC drama on at the moment... Called 'Call the Midwife' a post war gritty real life tale of the midwifes in the east end of London. My nan actually lived in the east end during that time, and both her, my mum and me watch it. My nan says watching it is like taking a trip down memory lane, and I think it must be a pretty incredible series if it can intice 3 generations of women.
I love it...it is sometimes shocking, and emotional but written so well. And you just feel proud as a women after watching it..

The show is based around a upper class, new qualified midwife who moves to the rought area of east london, Poplar. She is shocked and confused at the standards at which women live in and how families survive with very little money and goverment hand outs.

The style is so chic, the pin curls, the full skirts, and the 1940's shoes!!!!!! I love the fact that they ride around on biscyles all day!!!

It also stares Miranda Hart, from the Miranda show, I have never seen the Miranda show, but i know its a slapstick comedy... but she is fantastic in this role!!!

It is based on this best selling book, and I am desperate to read it too

What is your opinion???

Love xxxxx

.....as I was...

Soo... as i was strolling into work today... I was walking through 1st floor, which is were the high end designer classic labels are... you have Valentino, Balmin... lanvin... the clothes are beautfiul... and then I sore Victoria...and I took a double take... yes the new Victoria by Victoria Beckham difusion line as finally landed in HN, and I think it is utterly fantastic...

What can I say, I loved her as a spice girl...and as a designer I think she has a great eye, and a raw talent for dressing women.... Im not sure this range is any more affordable, like she intended, but it iis very beautiful......

here are some of my favourite pics...

I looveeeee this dress... IT is soooo classic, but the pink is amazing... such a beautiful color and such a classic and simple shape.

it is such an amaing line... and I really wish I could a afford a peice!!!

..where it all begins...

So... after months and months of apply for jobs and wishing and hoping for emails back and interviews I am now living and working in London...

It is very hard, and not at all what I expected... and at time I do have to stand back and think how lucky I am...but there is just so much more I want to do..

I thought I would start this new chapter with sharing some of my london snaps with you..

soooo I have been making friends in high places since moving to london... hahah welll my friend Julie rents a room in one of these flats... that over look the thames... although rather embaressingly I thought it was a puddle when I looked out the window... lol

this was my first place in london... although in the photo it may looks nice... i can reasure you it was not nice... the mould smelt... there was damp on the walls which made them wet and cracks all over the walls, and even a brown celin!!! ughhh...
well they do say when your at bottom the only way is up!! hahah

my first christmas in the big lights... I can tell you, I have never seen London at christmas... and nothing can quite prepare you for the first time you see the christmas lights, and the best feeling I felt afterwards was the fact i said to myself... the is my 'new home town'...a rather magical place..

this is my new home now... a very beautiful girly flat that i share with a girl who works in events marketing... I love it sooo much and it is very pretty... and very nice place to come home tooo...

this was the staff christmas party.... (which include some rather glamorous shots of woolford) Im so glad ive managed to make some friends since moving to london... its made my time hear feel more homely.... :)

and this is were I work... Harvey Nichols... 3rd floor... you will find me... with a plasterd smile on my face (and tears in my eyes) its not a bad job, for working in retail its proberly the best place to work, but I want more from my career, and although I was promoted to a superviser in the 1st 2 months there, I want to have more power and be more creative on a daily basis...
It would also be nice if when I came home from work my feet didnt feel like they were bleeding from standing all day...ha!

I do actually feel a bit like a proper londener now when I walk the streets, and I get a bit of a smirk when a tourist looks at me and thinks I know things and asks me for directions - although most of the time I have to tell them I have no idea where they mean *sigh*

I bloody love the fast pace lifestyle that is london, the colors just pop and the people are just soooo interesting to stop and look at... I always feel like i should be running around on the tubes, even when I dont really have anywhere to go, to just look important and 'not a tourist' hahaha

I hope to feel more settled as the months evolve... I miss my uni friends and lifestyle more than I have ever missed anything, but I know this is a new chapter of my life... and I want to look it in the face and scream Im arriving... you best be READY!!!!!!

love Miss London-Northern Gal xxxxx
